Answers about credentials, service area, pricing, scheduling and what to expect from an OZ RVS inspection or technician visit.
Credentials & Qualifications
What does it mean that OZ RVS is NRVIA Certified?
NRVIA stands for the National RV Inspectors Association. Being NRVIA certified means the inspector has completed formal training and testing in RV systems and adheres to the NRVIA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice — giving you an unbiased, professional assessment of an RV's true condition rather than a sales-driven opinion.
What does it mean that OZ RVS is RVTAA Registered?
RVTAA stands for the RV Technicians Association of America. Registration means the technician has met the association's standards for RV repair and maintenance knowledge, so repairs are performed by someone trained specifically in RV systems.
Is OZ RVS insured?
Yes. OZ RVS carries full general liability insurance, so you have peace of mind every time work is performed on your RV.
Who performs the inspections and repairs?
Brad Tomlin, owner of OZ RVS, is the NRVIA certified inspector and RVTAA registered technician who personally performs the inspections and mobile service work.
Service Area & Mobile Setup
What areas does OZ RVS serve?
OZ RVS serves Rogers, Bentonville, Bella Vista, Fayetteville, Springdale, Siloam Springs and Surrounding Areas in Northwest Arkansas.
Does OZ RVS come to me, or do I bring my RV to a shop?
OZ RVS is a fully mobile service with no shop location — inspections and technician service both happen on-site, wherever your RV is parked within the service area.
How far will OZ RVS travel for a technician service call?
Standard technician service calls include travel within 20 miles of Rogers, AR at no extra charge. Beyond that, travel is billed at $2 per mile over 20 miles.
Does my RV need to be hooked up to power and water?
For inspections, yes — a full hook-up RV park reservation with water, electric and sewer access is required for the full inspection day. For technician visits, requirements vary by job (RV tank cleaning, for example, requires full hook-ups); let us know your setup when you schedule so we can confirm what's needed.
Pricing Structure
How much does an RV inspection cost?
Inspections range from $600 to $2,000 depending on Year, Make, Model and Features, across three tiers — PDI, Essentials, and Premium — each priced with a custom quote.
How much does mobile technician service cost?
Standard technician service is a $125 service call plus $150/hour (1-hour minimum), with the hourly rate starting when work begins. Emergency and after-hours service is $200 for the service call plus $200/hour.
How much does RV tank cleaning cost?
Tank cleaning starts with a $125 service call, $175 for the first tank cleaning and $100 for each additional tank. Black tank clog removal is $200, and grey tank cleaning is $100 per tank.
Process & Turnaround
How long does it take to get my inspection report?
A detailed photo report is delivered within 48 hours of the inspection, running roughly 100 pages depending on the package and RV.
What do I need to prepare for an RV inspection?
You'll need a full hook-up RV park reservation (water, electric, sewer), a flat stable parking surface, keys to all doors and storage compartments, the refrigerator powered on for at least 12 hours prior, ½ tank of propane, and the unit de-winterized before the inspection start time.
How long does an RV inspection take?
Inspection time varies by package and RV size. Full hook-up access is required for the entire inspection day so every system can be tested under normal operating conditions.
What's Inspected
What systems are covered in an inspection?
Inspections cover roof and gutters, exterior sidewalls, slideouts and awnings, tires and chassis, the LP gas system, all major appliances, electrical systems (120V AC and 12V DC), fresh and waste water systems, life safety systems, and interior conditions — plus engine/transmission and cockpit systems on motorhomes.
Is fluid analysis included in an inspection?
Fluid analysis (engine coolant, engine oil, transmission fluid, generator oil and coolant) is available as an add-on to any inspection or as a standalone service, examined by a professional laboratory with results in 3–5 business days. Pricing varies by number of fluids tested.
Can I get a targeted inspection on just one system?
Yes — à la carte custom inspections are available at a reduced rate for specific components like life safety items, the roof, the propane system, electrical, or the water and plumbing system. These don't include the full NRVIA certified report that comes with a PDI, Essentials, or Premium package.

What are OZ RVS's business hours?
OZ RVS is available Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm CST, and Saturday by appointment only.
Is emergency service available?
Yes. Emergency and after-hours technician service is available for a $200 service call plus a $200/hour rate.
Pre-Expiry Warranty Inspections
What is a pre-expiry warranty inspection?
A pre-expiry warranty inspection is scheduled while your RV's manufacturer or component warranties are still active, so any covered defects are caught and documented in writing before the warranty window closes. It uses the same NRVIA-certified process as a standard inspection, timed specifically to protect your ability to file a claim.
Why should I get an inspection before my RV's warranty expires?
Once a warranty expires, repairs for issues that would have been covered become an out-of-pocket expense. A pre-expiry inspection creates a documented record of any covered defects while there's still time to file a claim with the manufacturer or dealer.
How is a pre-expiry warranty inspection different from a standard inspection?
The inspection process itself is the same — OZ RVS uses the same PDI, Essentials, or Premium tiers — the difference is timing: it's scheduled deliberately before a warranty period ends rather than before a purchase closes.
When should I schedule a pre-expiry warranty inspection?
OZ RVS recommends scheduling it about 8 weeks before your warranty expires. That gives you enough time to receive the inspection report and open a warranty claim with the manufacturer before the coverage window closes.
Customer Maintenance & Service
Do you offer ongoing maintenance, or just one-off repairs?
Both. OZ RVS handles one-time repairs and diagnostics as well as recurring seasonal maintenance — winterization and de-winterization, tank cleaning, roof sealant, and general upkeep — so you can rely on the same technician for your RV over time.
What's included in a routine maintenance visit?
Depending on what your RV needs, a maintenance visit can include heating and AC service, electrical and plumbing checks, tank cleaning, roof sealant, and general systems diagnostics — billed at the standard $125 service call plus $150/hour rate.
Do you offer a walk-through for a newly purchased RV?
Yes — the New Owner Walk-Through covers how to operate and maintain your RV's systems, so you start out knowing how everything works before you hit the road.
